Birth plates are a specialty item at Crow Hill Pottery. Each plate is individually created to celebrate
a birth or birthday. The plates are typically decorated with three flowers or parts,
and three small birds. This design is inspired by the Pennsylvania German decoration of everyday items with motifs
from nature. The plates are decorated and hand-lettered with the name and date of birth, along with additional
information if desired (i.e. time, weight, length). They may be ordered from a special page at Oakleaf Pottery, where
my father has kindly set up an
order form
complete with online payment information at his site.
Specialty bowls & plates are also available, to celebrate a wedding or commitment ceremony or anniversary.
These pieces are decorated with names and the date of the event, along with additional designs. These may be ordered using the form
on the Contact Us page. Pricing is determined by size of piece and decoration.
Additional pieces may be created to mark a special event or person, an important milestone, a graduation or a special gift.
